“Celebrate” returns to Port of Anacortes in 2017
For the fifth straight year, the popular holiday event “Celebrate the Season” returns to the Port’s Event Center on the first weekend of December.
Anacortes Schools Foundation volunteers turn the Port’s Event Center into a winter wonderland for two days of family-oriented fun on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 & 3. Then the evening is ASF’s annual “Dream It” fundraising dinner and auction.

The Anacortes Schools Foundation is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) volunteer organization which functions independently of the school district for the benefit of our students, educators, and community.
Created from just one family's donation in 1984, ASF now manages more than $2.5 million in endowments and distributes more than $100,000 annually in scholarships. Originally founded as the Fidalgo Island Educational Youth Foundation, Anacortes Schools Foundation's mission is to:
- Grant scholarship awards to students
- Assist educators in their professional development
- Support educational programs in the Anacortes School District
The ASF believes passionately in the importance of community awareness and involvement in our schools. We sponsor the annual scholarships ceremony where scholarships are presented to our selected students.
