April Updates from ASF

April Updates from ASF
When students and teachers return from spring break, there’s a “home stretch” mentality. State tests will be administered, families are registering their preschoolers for kindergarten, and seniors are checking off all the boxes on the graduation completion list. It’s a lot to fit into two months.

In addition to the preparation – for tests, for kindergarten, for graduation – classrooms around the district continue to inspire students with hands-on learning, field trips and experiences that enrich their learning. So many of these opportunities are a direct result of the donations made by individuals, businesses and organizations who want to give Anacortes students a challenging and inspiring education.

The revival that spring brings is a physical reminder that life is cyclical. April, once again, equates to our scholarship season. Students (seniors and current college students) have until April 26 at noon to submit. As of now, we have an incredible $460,000 to award in scholarships.

The funding for scholarships, however, comes from individuals and organizations who specifically sponsor the scholarships. All of our other programs and events are funded through donations, money raised at our Celebrate the Season Gala and Fueling Education Fun Run or money from our annual spring campaign. It’s these contributions that make our STEM, CTE, arts, and mental health support program a reality. We can continue to fund these amazing programs only if we raise the money, and through the end of May, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000.

Donate today! Every donation matched up to $10,000. through May 31, 2025.

Every dollar you give through May 31, 2025 will be graciously matched by a generous donor up to $10,000! Designate your donation (STEM, CTE, mental health, arts, early education), or let us allocate it to where it is most needed!
